Mary T.

Name: Mary T.
State: North Carolina
Job Title: OR RN

Meet Mary T., an Operating Room Nurse running 36 years strong in the field!  She’s bound and determined to hit all 50 states as a traveler.  On her assignments, you can find her hiking, canoeing, and walking Abbey, her miniature schnauzer.

Of Mary’s 36 years in the operating room, she has spent 12 years as a travel nurse, off and on.  She’s traveled throughout NC, SC, TX and NM (her personal favorite) and wants to hit all 50 states before she gives up traveling as a nurse.  She loves meeting new people and seeing the local sites with these new friends.  Mary likes traveling with Cirrus because “It is a company with a heart.  I feel more like family than an employee.  Everyone I have worked with at the company has gone beyond what I have expected.  If I have a question about anything, my recruiter Annette and Amber, my credentialing specialist, have the answer.  They are always willing to help find answers or lend the help that I need.”    Mary’s astonished that every place that she’s worked, there has always been a traveler who she’s known.  Another interesting fact about Mary is that she’s a licensed massage therapist and when time permits, she likes to work with Cancer patients and their families performing massages.  She’s also studied with a Cherokee “Medicine Man”, gaining a new appreciation for life.  Mary's advice to travelers, “Be flexible and willing to try new things.  It may be one of your greatest assets for work.  Keep your sense of humor.  If you change the way you look at things, thing often times will change the way they look…mostly for the better.”  Words of wisdom from a seasoned professional!  We appreciate and admire you, Mary!
