Kellie P.

Name: Kellie P.
State: Georgia
Job Title: ER RN

Kellie P. is a terrific ER RN who is constantly on the move!!  Kellie is true a patient advocate who is clinically astute and maintains a caring, compassionate demeanor.  Kellie has been an ER RN for over 10 years and a traveler for over 6 years.  She started out in the ER and maintains that the level of pace that she works keeps her occupied, interested and completely satisfied.  Kellie states that as a traveler, she likes the lack of politics that she would usually have to weather.  She loves being able to go where she wants to go.  She quotes, "it gives me freedom to go and do what I want to do without anyone telling me you must go here every day and do this everyday.  It allows me to be me and to be a nurse."  Advice to new travelers:  Don't be afraid.  The first day is somewhat timid, but open up and be yourself.  You'll find that  you fit in perfectly.  They know why you're there and there's value to your role.  I've had no problems fitting in anywhere.  I also don't overstep my boundaries with full time staff, such as bragging about my earnings or going here, there and everywhere.  I'm not there to compete, just to learn and enjoy doing what I do best.  And there you have it........tips on doing your best by the BEST!
