Meet Barbara B., an RN with over 33 years of Nursing experience.  She been a traveler with Cirrus for over 2 years and has worked in specialty areas such as Rehab and Medical Surgical nursing.  She's a highly skilled Orthopedic nurse as well.  She hails from New York, but has traveled to California, New Mexico , Hawaii and Vermont.  These places offer her access to many of her favorite hobbies such as swimming, biking, skiing, snowboarding and surfing.  When asked about why she likes being a Travel Nurse, she responds, "I love going to new places, learning the layout of the land and finding all kinds of unique museums and things to do.  I like learning about the people and healthcare cultures (traditional health care and alternative holistic practices) of an area that I'm settled in for the time being."  Barbara states that adjusting to her assignment destinations is not difficult.  She arrives a day or two early and takes a scenic drive, or  maybe a bus or boat tour of the area.  She scopes out her hospital and visits inside, introducing herself to folks she meets.  She works on putting her workmates at ease and asks questions about them to get to know them better.  Her advice to new Travelers:  "Work through your recruiter.  He/She has "your back" and you can ask them anything.  They are there to help you and make your assignment work out.  I thoroughly enjoy my relationship with my Cirrus recruiter.  They always ask about my endeavors and they genuinely care about my well being.   Cirrus, as a company, offers the personal attention that's appealing to me.  They are a great resource and make things easier for me.  I enjoy working for a growing, proactive, JCAHO Certified business."
