Name: Amanda "Mandy" L.
State: Mississippi
Job Title: RN, Operating Room
Since the beginning of Cirrus, Mandy L., OR RN, has been with us and is an office ICON for the MODEL TRAVELER! Over time, we've grown to know her family well too. We have Mandy's entire "entourage" pictured above.
Mandy has been a traveler for over five years now and has spent her entire traveler duration with Cirrus. She has been on assignments in GA, TN, TX, OH, NC and MS. She's even revisited some of these assignments on more than one occasion because once she's taken an assignment, clients call and REQUEST her to come back. What a compliment!!!! She likes being a traveler because she gets to meet new people and has to opportunity to explore new horizons while seeing the beautiful countryside. Mandy's family has traveled with her for quite some time. She states, "My children have enjoyed making friends all over these United States, and my husband and I have made many new maps of places we would like to retire to one day." What we've witnessed about Mandy and her family as a company: Mandy has always had exceptional professional talent, but she's much more well versed now. She can step into any situation and gain immediate respect from staff, clinical management and physicians alike. As far as her family goes, we've seen these girls grow up and become well adjusted to various situations and to change. They know how to make the best of their situation and are some of the most well adjusted and independent young ladies that we know. In addition, her husband has shown us the meaning of dedication and support for a spouse living her dream. An incredible story about an incredible family.
Mandy's hobbies include quilting, knitting, crocheting and reading. Her advice to travelers: "Get a broad base of knowledge before getting started. A resourceful traveler will have to think on his/her feet, react quickly in stressful situations, and also realize that there is no "perfect" assignment. Be proactive in acquiring knowledge and assignments. Know what you want and be realistic about your expectations. The world awaits the travelers who are prepared." When asked why she's stayed with Cirrus so long, she replies, "Honesty and integrity are important to me and Cirrus has emulated that principal from day one. I never have had to worry about anything with my company behind me. Greg has been like a brother. More than just a recruiter or the company President, to me and my entire family. Our experience with Cirrus has been an enriching one, and I wouldn't trade it for the world." That's fortunate for Cirrus, Mandy...we wouldn't trade you for the world either!
